Magnus Wenninger Letter

Letter from Magnus Wenninger to Fintan Bromenshenkel, June 21, 1958. Proposes a shadow-calendar and shadow-clock for St. John's, and encloses design.

Fintan forwarded the letter and drawing to Joachim Watrin.

George N. Saegmuller Letter

Letter from George N. Saegmuller of Fauth & Co. to Peter Engel, March 1, 1894. About transit, clock, and chronograph for observatory. St. John's already had an equatorial telescope. This letter was in the back of Observatory Record, 1903-1908.

Log of transit observations, with calculations. Steady entries through 1910. 1911 and 1912 only have records of setting the clock. Fairly regular again through 1915, then a gap until 1956.
