The decision to present the document to the Joint Board on May 7, 1993 Minutes of the Joint Boards, May 7, 1993 (gives a good brief summary of the history of Board involvement in cooperation) Joint approval of the statement of general and specific principles and recommended actions contained in "The Governance of the Coordinate Relationship between the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University." May 1993: according to a document revised in 9/15/93 by the two presidents in the 1993-1994 file, the Ad Hoc Committee of Boards on Coordinate Relations was established in the Fall of 1993 by mandate of the two Boards -- it lists the functions of the committee and the secondary functions (those which flow from other functions): "On May 7, 1993, the two Boards approved the document entitled, 'The Governance of the Coordinate Relationship between the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University." It articulated a series of general principles to undergird the coordinate relationship. And it committed the two Boards to embark on a series of actions to ensure the vitality of this relationship.
