Report on Common Curriculum Program Review Minutes from December 12, 2012 JFS meeting approved. MOTION: On the recommendation of the Senate Executive Committee, the Joint Faculty Senate approves the addition of section 4.6 Faculty Administrative Committees, as detailed in the "Adding Administrative Committees 1-15-13" document, to the Faculty Handbook. Motion could not be voted on, as a quorum was not present. ATTACHMENT: Report on Common Curriculum Program Review (PowerPoint) ATTACHMENT: Adding Administrative Committees 1-15-13 January 30, 2013 (JFA): MOTION A: On the recommendation of the handbook task team, the CSB Rank and Tenure Committee and the FHEC, the CSB Faculty Assembly approves the changes related to Rank and Tenure in parts 2.6.5.2 with relevant subparts and 2.7.2.3 with relevant subparts as detailed in the document titled "Rank and Tenure Handbook changes Dec 17 12 v.4" MOTION CARRIED MOTION B: On the recommendation of the handbook task team, the SJU Rank and Tenure Committee and the FHEC, the SJU Faculty Assembly approves the changes related to Rank and Tenure in parts 2.6.5.2 and relevant subparts and 2.7.2.3 and relevant subparts as detailed in the document titled "Rank and Tenure Handbook changes Dec 17 12 v.4" MOTION CARRIED. MOTION: On the recommendation of the Faculty Compensation and Benefits Committee, the Joint Faculty Assembly hereby endorses a 2.0% increase in the total salary pool for FY14 as well as an additional allocation of $75,000 to account for additional increases associated with promotions. MOTION CARRIED. MOTION: Due to the charge given to the JBC by the CFO's to reduce benefit costs by 3%, the Faculty Compensation and Benefits Committee brings forth for the Joint Faculty Assembly approval. MOTION CARRIED. Report to respond to space issues expressed by faculty at the fall 2012 Joint Faculty Assembly were given by Joe DesJardins. MOTION: On the recommendation of the Senate Executive Committee, the Joint Faculty Senate approves the addition of section 4.6 Faculty Administrative Committees, as detailed in the "Adding Administrative Committees to Handbook 1-15-13" document, to the Faculty Handbook. MOTION CARRIED. Discussion on strategies to improve attendance at JFA meetings were introduced by Carie. ATTACHMENT: Motion on the Addition of Faculty Administrative Committees to the Handbook Part IV March 13, 2013 (JFS): ATTACHMENT: New process for committee reporting in Senate Minutes from the February 13, 2013 JFS meeting approved. Presentation on the FY 2014 budget made by CFOs Sue Palmer and Dick Anderson. MOTION: On the recommendation of the Ad-Hoc Committee for Student Opinion Survey Revision and the Senate Executive Committee in order to increase response rates and standardize the environment the environment for administration, the Joint Faculty Senate endorses the electronic administration of surveys during class time. MOTION CARRIED. MOTION: On the recommendation of the Ad-Hoc Committee for Student Opinion Survey Revision, the Senate approves the following amendment of the Faculty Handbook part 4.3.1.2.2.
