History of the Bahamas Program Brief History of the CSB/SJU Bahamas Campus, 1973-2000 1973: Request to CSB to offer courses in Nassau, Bahamas Sister Kathleen Kalinowski, CSB Dean of Continuing Education worked with Sister Maedene Russell and Telzena Coakley at first. Summer 1974: CSB offered some courses in Nassau 1975-1976: CSB Board of Trustees approved the Extension Program in Nassau at the St. Augustine Priory Spring 1994: CSB and SJU Boards, in their coordinating relationship, decided to jointly sponsor the CSB/SJU Bahamas Campus and to assist in financing a major renovation of existing facilities. Fall 1995: the CSB and SJU Boards approved a Joint Venture Agreement between the joint CSB/SJU program in the Bahamas and the Order of Saint Benedict - Nassau thus giving it a Bahamian corporate status.
