Minutes of the Board of Trustees, 1967-1968 September 16, 1967: - FT Faculty: 33 sisters and 14 laity = 47 - PT faculty: 5 sisters and 4 laity (1 man, 3 women) - 6 students have registered cars on campus October 30, 1967 - Development report by James Sassen - Tuition gap between CSB and SJU December 19, 1967 - Approval of budget for 1967-68 - Auditor's report accepted - Policy statement regarding narcotics January 19, 1968 - Discuss ways and means of financing the power plant January 31, 1968: - Much discussion on the current difficulties being encountered in our CSB/SJU cooperative program. There is the constant threat of SJU going co-ed -- Abbot Baldwin admitted he has heard President Colman Barry mention it as a possibility but probably not do it in the near future Mother Henrita reports on her efforts to hire Idzerda - Discussion of lay board members but no decision February 27, 1968 - Bids for boilers March 11, 1968: - Announcement of a Co-Institutional Study (Mayhew) - Continued discussion on laymen on Board but no decision yet March 30, 1968: - Board approval of Idzerda as president April 30, 1968: - Board approval of T.R.Anderson and Alan Ruvelson to the Board - Constitution revisions May 24, 1968: - Request from St. Cloud School of Nursing for instructors for certain courses -- agree to try May 27, 1968: - Board members present for Report of the Co-Institutional Study Committee (included Idzerda, T.R. Anderson and Alan Ruvelson) June 19, 1968: - in-depth discussion of the Mayhew report in preparation for a meeting with SJU Board
