1 Collection (Abbey Banner 2001-2017 Began with spring 2001 issue, superseding the Abbey Quarterly. Published 3x/year: spring, fall, winter (= nos. 1, 2, & 3 of the vol.) Bound issues of the Abbey Quarterly are on shelf 93/5. Bound issues of the Abbey Banner are in the Research Room. Digital issues of both are in Vivarium and on the O drive: O:\Archives\SJUArchives\Digital Archives\Publications Holdings notes: 2-3 copies should arrive in campus mail. Get a few more to cut up so feature stories can be filed (in Buildings, People, Varia, etc. files) as appropriate. --1 copy to Research Room display shelf; as new edition arrives, put former issue into three-ring notebook on shelf above, next to bound editions. --1 copy to the pocket folder on shelf 93/5 labelled "TO BIND" (Bind every five years: 2010, 2015, 2020, 2025...) --1+ copies to the manilla box on shelf 93/5 to ensure against damage or theft of other issues. Once bound issues are returned from the Bindery: --shelve the bound volume in the Research Room --remove the loose issues (those now included in the newly bound volume) from the three-ring notebook and add them to the manilla box on shelf 93/5. --Remove from the manilla box one complete set of unbound issues. Put them into folders in the archival boxes on 93/5. --Any leftover issues can go on the "extras" shelves. Ultimately, there will be one archival set that is bound and shelved in the Research Room, and one archival set that is unbound and shelved in boxes on 93/5. The bound set is complete. The unbound set, on 93/5, is MISSING one issue: vol. 9, 2009 - Spring* * This issue, along with all three of the 2008 (v.8) issues, are also not in the library's set as of Jan. 2020)
