No date, circa 1915.
Informal photo, outdoors, of five young men at a handball court. There are benches at the edge of the court, and a thick row of evergreens behind. The students are wearing tank tops or t-shirt and trousers. Three wear newsboy caps. The player at the backstop clenches a pipe in his teeth.
The tall player in center with his hand on his hip is Martin Kiess, later Fr. Matthew, O.S.B.
Edmund Kopfmann was a 1916 alumnus.
"Hipp" and "Husty" may be nicknames or misspellings.
Black and white, 3 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches.
