Baseball

1949: Ray Kraus, May 1909.

Full-length posed action shot of young man in baseball uniform throwing a ball from home plate. He wears a dark baseball cap, short-sleeved jersey with interlocking letters STJU over a long-sleeved shirt, padded pants with a belt, dark stockings, and ankle shoes or boots, and a catcher's mitt. A catcher's mask is on the ground behind him.

1950: Gravel, 3rd Baseman, May 1909.

Full-length posed action shot of young man in baseball uniform reaching his glove toward the ground. Same uniform as above, except this player has a three-finger glove. Player is Louis Gravel '09.

1963: Cismowski, J., May 1909, Baseball Player.

Posed action shot of a baseball player with his foot on the bag, leaning forward to scoop up a ball with both hands. He wears a dark baseball cap, short-sleeved jersey with interlocking letters logo over a ribbed seater, quilted pants, dark stockings, ankle boots, and glove.

John Cismowski played first base for the varsity team in 1908.

2601: Junior Baseball, 1922.

Outdoor team photo of a baseball nine. Five boys sitting on a park bench, and the other four standing behind them. They wear lace-up jerseys that say, "JUNIORS," and light-colored pants with belts. Other than that, their uniforms do not match, and two of the bots are wearing newsboy caps.

2602: Junior Baseball, 1922.

Their mismatched jerseys say, "JUNIORS;" one has buttons or snaps, but the rest lace up. One is dressed as a catcher. Four are wearing newsboy caps or flat caps. Bats and a catcher's mask are arranged on the ground in front of them.

2639: Jr. Baseball Champs, 1907.

Group photo, outdoors, of boys in baseball uniforms and a monk in habit. The player's baseball caps have the letter J over the bill. They wear dark short-sleeved jerseys which bear a lighter-colored logo with interlocking letters S t J U. Three baseball bats are arranged on the ground in front of the group, fanning out towards the camera.

2573: Junior II Baseball, June 1909.

Studio portrait of a group of eleven boys. One wears suit and tie. The rest are in baseball uniform: dark baseball caps, dark short-sleeved jerseys which bear a lighter-colored logo with interlocking letters S t J U, pants with belts, dark stockings, ankle boots. Baseball bats and catcher's mask are arranged between the two boys reclining in the front row.
