Scope and Contents
Daniel Bangart and unidentified man
Studio portrait. Frank Bangart, on right, wears an open jacket, loose bow tie, and turn-down collar. On the left is an apparently older man with a widow's peak. The latter wears a three-piece suit with the suit cooat open, a watch chain, large bow tie or plantation tie, and turn-down collar. He is possibly Frank's father Nicholas or older brother John.
Black and white, oval format, 3 x 4 1/8 inches. Mounted on black card with beveled edges, and a debossed oval "frame" for the picture area.
Stamped in metallic gold in lower right: "Kierski / Minneapolis, Minn."
Written on back: "P. Daniel Bangart O.S.B."
Frank looks older than in the previous photograph in this box (1898). Frank was a student of St. John's University from 1896 to 1902. In July 1902, he entered the novitiate for St. John's Abbey, taking the religious name Daniel.
