John Hoppe, 1911
Studio portrait of young man with dark, wavy hair parted in the middle. He wears a single-breasted jacket with a lapel pin, vest, striped shirt with detachable collar, and a paisley necktie. Three-quarters view.
Black and white, brown tone. Oval format, 3 5/8 x 5 1/8 inches. Silvering.
Mounted on white board with beveled edges, and an embossed oval frame for the picture area. Debossed at lower right: "St. John's Studio, Collegeville, Minn."
Written on back in pencil: "Jno. Hoppe / '11." In black pen: "P. Leo OSB."
John Hoppe, Class of 1911, became Fr. Leo Hoppe, O.S.B.
