Three-quarters view of young man with wavy hair parted on the side, wearing a single-breasted clerical suit and wide clerical collar. His shirtfront has a decorative floral patten. Head and shoulders. Studio portrait.
Black and white, 3 5/16 x 5 7/8 inches. Mounted on thin gray cardstock with a deckled edge, which is, in turn, mounted on an ivory board, 8 x 12 inches, with a brown border and brown "frame" for the picture area.
Print is silvering in dark areas on edges.
Debossed at lower right of board: "Mackenzie, Dubuque, Iowa."
Name of subject written in black pen on lower right corner of mounting board.
Masking tape remnants on back upper edge of board.
