1942 State College Champs Baseball Bat
Wooden baseball bat, 34 inches long, Melvin Ott autograph model Louisville Slugger 125 M.O. Signed on barrel by members, manager, and coaches of the 1942 St. John's University baseball team. Side of barrel opposite logo has been planed to create a flat space 13 inches long, and 2 inches wide at the maximum. On that side, in black, is written: "1942 / State / College / Champs" followed by the 1942 baseball schedule with results. Written sideways in faint red marker on the narrowest part of the flat space is: "The BB Bat / Presented by / Bill Sinner / Casselton, N.D."

(coach).
"Chub" Ebnet is Vernon S. Ebnet, the younger brother of Linus H. Ebnet '38.
William F. Sinner left St. John's in 1943; he would have been Class of 1944 if he had stayed. He was considered for first base, and tried out for pitcher.
"34" stamped on knob. Manufactured by Hillerich & Bradsby.
A couple of nicks in handle, and two at bottom of barrel on logo side.
