1. William Blakeman. Head-and-shoulders studio portrait of boy wearing a suit with pocket handkerchief, boutonnière, and bow tie. On card with gold border. Photo studio: Rugg, 221 Nicollet Ave., Minneapolis. Written on back: "W. Blakeman," and, in another hand, "84-88." Carte de visite.
2. Lambert Haupt. Full-length studio portrait of boy in three-piece suit and pin dot cravat. He stands, resting his forearm on an ornate pillar decorated with strings of leaves. Emulsion damage on left edge. On card with rounded corners and thin gold rule. Written on back of card: "Scholastic Lambert Haupt, Aug 1888." Carte de visite.
3. Martin Karmelj. Head-and-shoulders studio portrait of young man with pencil mustache. He wears a suit, cravat, tie tack, and standing collar. On card with rounded corners and thin gold rule. Stamped on back: "St. John's University Photographic Studio, Collegeville, Minn." Written on back: "Martin Karmel -- Carpenter afterwards, Student, March 18, 1888." Carte de visite.
4. Charles Labord. Full-length studio portrait of boy in three-piece suit, watch chain, standing collar, and patterned necktie. He stands, holding one lapel, with his other hand resting on a fringed posing chair. On card with red beveled edge. Stamped on back: "St. John's University Photographic Studio, Collegeville, Minn." Written on back: "Charles Labarre, Student, Mar 1888," and, in another hand, "Charles Labord." Carte de visite.
5. Louis Langevin. Full-length studio portrait of boy wearing suit, standing collar, and patterned cravat. He stands, resting his forearm on an ornate pillar. On card with red beveled edge. 9. Edward Roessler. Oval format studio portrait of boy in checked jacket with pocket handkerchief, tie, and tie tack. Stamped on back: "St. John's University Photographic Studio, Collegeville, Minn." Written on back: "E Roessler," and, in another hand, "85-88." Same photo as folder 21 (1887), number 21, but masked in an oval format. Carte de visite.
10. Francis Schaller. Head-and-shoulders studio portrait of a man with a mustache. He is wearing a jacket with a pocket handkerchief, a standing collar, and a patterned necktie. On green card. Stamped on back: "St. John's University Photographic Studio, Collegeville, Minn." Written on back: "Frank Schaller, Feb 1888." Carte de visite.
11. Peter Sutej. Full-length studio portrait of young man in suit and striped tie. He stands, resting his hand on an ornate pillar decorated with strings of leaves. On card with red beveled edge. Written on back: "Peter Sutej, Student of Photog., Jan 1888." Carte de visite.
12. ??? Walsh and James Ward. Full-length studio portrait of two young men in suits and overcoats, holding their hats. They lean on an ornate pillar. On card with gold border. Air bubble under emulsion on left edge, has started to rip horzontally. Written on back: "Walsh & Ward, Student, Nov 1888." Walsh could be Edward J. Walsh or John Walsh, both from Wisconsin. 13. John Broenner and ???. Trick photography. Portrait of two boys in suits. One has his arm around the other's shoulder. Seen inside a broken eggshell in a floral arrangement. Square format print. Pin hole in top. Stamped on back: "St. John's University Photographic Studio, Collegeville, Minn." Written on back: "J. Broenner &." Second student was originally named, but card was cut off at the bottom. In another hand, "John Broenner, 1886-88." A little wider than a carte de visite. Now 2 11/16 x 3 inches.
14. Frank A. Hausdorf. Head-and-shoulders studio portrait of a young man in jacket, standing collar, and bow tie. Oval, mounted on cardstock, was originally larger and glued to something. 4 5/16 inches tall by 2 7/8 inches wide. Student's last name on back was cut off. Now written on back: "Stud, 1888, Hausdorf."
