Munsinger Gardens, St. Cloud
"Munsinger Gardens."
A stone fountain in a small flower-lined pond is the focal point of this painting, with a mix of sunlight and shadow. A wooden footbridge leads to diverging paths in the right middle ground. A simple stone bench is behind the pond, to the left. Ornamental plants line the paths here and there.
Reproduction of a 1987 oil painting by Bela Petheo, smaller than the original. Offset lithography by Palmer Printing, St. Cloud.
Approximately 17 3/4 inches high x 21 inches wide. Double-matted with forest green undermat and slate blue overmat. In metallic gold-colored frame, brushed finish on edges. With hardware for hanging.
Inscribed to Jane [Opitz] by the artist, below the right side of the print: "To the dear Jane with [illegible] Bela Petheo 1991 Fall."
Horizontal 3-inch crack in upper left corner of glass. Blue overmat appears to be water-damaged near the frame below the left corner of the print and in lower right corner.
Total size 22 1/4 x 25 3/16 x 3/4" .
