Scope and Contents

Sing Praise to God: Concertato on 'Crucifer.' SATB choir and organ with optional brass and timpani. CRUCIFER, Sydney Nicholson, arr. Richard Proulx. Text: Psalm 96, adapted by Richard Proulx.

This arrangement, published in 2008 by Hope Publishing Company, shows brass, and timpani parts in compressed form, as well as SATB choir, congregation, and organ parts. It appears to be a proof copy. Individual parts are not included in the original octavo. They could be ordered separately from the publisher: ISBN 9870193870536). The arrangement was dedicated to The Most Rev. Timothy J. Lyne, D. D. This piece was in the same folder as an instrumental score, Crucifer (Lift High the Cross), that also included a vocal descant. These two pieces are almost identical (only text and organ parts differ). It appears that Crucifer (Lift High the Cross) was written before Sing Praise to God: Concertato on Crucifer.
