Scope and Contents

Word Made Flesh, We Welcome You. Text: Anon. 15th C. English, Based on John 1., Trans. R.P. 15th C. English Carol, edited by Richard Proulx. 1 score has markings in pencil.

This piece was in a file entitled, "RP scores, work on." Originally, it was a piece written for 3 equal voices by T. L. da Vittoria (or Victoria), and was published in octavo form by Gregorian Institute of America. Richard Proulx apparently had plans to edit the piece. In the margins, he wrote a few directives/ideas ("Start with Lindusky translation," and "SAB?"), and considered new starting pitches for the 3 parts. More work would need to be done in order to prepare the piece for publication.
