Judging from the manuscripts and materials (correspondences) in this file, Proulx undertook a project of creating a parish book of folk chants while he was a Composer in Residence at the Cathedral of the Madeleine in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1994-1995. These manuscripts were in a file entitled "Folk Chant." Along with the manuscripts for the Madeleine project, there were other manuscripts of chants adapted by Proulx (and others) in this file.
