Lord, pour your spirit
Scope and Contents
Lord, pour your spirit / William Knapp ; Richard Proulx. This piece was composed on the tune "WAREHAM" as indicated by the subtitle below the title. This work is written for organ, brass ensemble and voice. Though voices are said to be included in the work.
This arrangement (by Proulx) of the hymn, "Lord, Pour Your Spirit" (tune: WAREHAM) is written for SATB choir (and, I assume, congregation) with accompaniment by organ. A descant is also included. This score is in the key of Bb. Stanza 1 is in unison (a cappella), stanzas 2 and 3 are arranged for a cappella SATB choir with the melody in the soprano voice. Stanza 4 is arranged for SATB choir (a cappella) with the melody in the tenor line. There is a photocopy of organ accompaniment for stanza 5 (no words included here on the score, though), and there is a handwritten manuscript for stanza 6 with a descant (though no words included). It is unclear if this has ever been published. There is another arrangement of this song in the key of A with accompaniment by organ, 3 trumpets in C, 2 horns in F, 3 trombones, and timpani, which is in another file.
