Jesus Christ is Risen Today (EASTER HYMN)(AKA: Fanfare on Lyra Davidica) OVERSIZE

This file contains a number of manuscripts. There are two manuscripts (scores) of an arrangement by Louie White which is entitled, "Fanfare on 'Lyra Davidica' (Hymn 85)." Proulx apparently took this fanfare arrangement and adjusted it, adding an introduction (eight measures of an organ arrangement by Paul Manz), and a trumpet solo for verse 2 (which Proulx apparently composed himself). So, besides the two scores by White, there is a photocopy of Manz's piece (with editing by Proulx), a manuscript of the 1st trumpet part (Bb), 2 copies of the manuscript of the 1st trombone part, a copy of the manuscript of the 2nd trombone part, and a manuscript of the timpani part. Also, Proulx had included with this music a choral arrangement of verse three, which he photocopied from some hymnbook (it is unclear if he meant to use this in his arrangement, since on one of the plans he says to sing v. 3 in unison). Proulx's plan for his arrangement can be found written at the beginning of White's arrangement: Intro: Manz, v. 1 with brass, v. 2 mp with trumpet solo, v. 3 with brass (sung unison) (though this directive is crossed out on one of the scores), v. 4 descant and brass. This file contains no vocal/choral/descant parts. It is unclear if Proulx's instrumental arrangement (or Louie White's, for that matter) has ever been published.
