Gloria in Excelsis, 1998

Scope and Contents

Gloria in Excelsis (also called "Christmas Hymn - Gloria" or "Christmas Metrical Gloria")

Proulx wrote this arrangement of instrument parts and SATB choir to fit with Michael Perry's metrical version of Les anges dans nos campagnes (17th c. Languedoc carol). There is a score that includes the oboe, flute, and cello parts. There are also individual manuscripts for each instrument. There are two slightly different versions of the vocal parts (both SATB--- one has the women and men alternate on the verses, while the other has them singing all together). It is unclear if this has been published.
