Praise to the Lord (tune: lobe den herren)

 Item
Identifier: 0442

Scope and Contents

This incomplete arrangement of Praise to the Lord, the Almighty (LOBE DEN HERREN) is presumably written for congregation, SATB choir, organ, horns, and timpani. There does seem to be enough music here, however, to work with for publishing purposes. Only the fourth verse’s words are sketched in. Proulx’s notes indicate the following: Introduction – organ; stanzas 1 & 2 – horns & org (Hymnbook Harm.); stanza 3 – SATB. There is a separate page for the organ accompaniment for stanza 4, as well as a score, which includes vocal descant, brass, timpani, and organ. The horn parts appear complete. There is no indication of what the SATB harmonization for stanza 3 is.
