Scope and Contents

Gregorian chant in English OVERSIZE Study-settings toward a new/old Plainsong repertoire for cantor, choir, congregation. A "sampler" of choral communion antiphons (Advent-Baptism of Jesus) adapted from the Graduale Romanum with English texts.

Judging from the manuscripts in this file, Proulx undertook a project of adapting and compiling folk chants for use in liturgy. These manuscripts, along with the manuscripts for the Madeleine project (a composer-in-residence project to create a parish book of folk chant) were in a file entitled "Folk Chant." There were other manuscripts of chants adapted by Proulx (and others) in this file as well (which appear on a fax).
