Puer natus est : for Pamina Blum
Scope and Contents
Puer natus est : for Pamina Blum / Richard Proulx.
This solo flute piece (along with many others) was in a folder entitled, “Meditations for Unaccompanied Flute.” There are three manuscript versions of this piece (two of the same, one different). The shorter version appears to have been composed to be played in the background of “scene three” of a Christmas musical drama, in which two desperate men (Jean-Luc and Aime) are standing outside a cave near Bethlehem. There is a note of dedication to Pamina Blum of the cleaner copy of the longer version (© 2001).
