Rookery blues is a novel by St. John's University English professor Jon Hassler. The story of the Icejam Quintet, a jazz band composed of eccentrics. The time is the turbulent 1960s; the setting is the Rookery State College in Minnesota. A comic look at college life of the day, with its student rebellions, faculty strikes and spineless administrators.
