Orchestra: 3 flutes (Flt. III --> Piccolo); 2 Oboes; Cor Anglais; 2 Clarinets in B-flat/A; Bass Clarinet; 2 Bassoons; Contrabassoon; 4 Horns in F; 3 Trumpets in C (also 3 C tpts. offstage); 3 Trombones (Trb. III is Bass Trb.); Tuba; Harp; Celesta (interchange with Piano for taped music); Percussion; Strings. Taped music for the radio is pre-recorded by the orchestra.
