Simon Groetsch at St. John's Old Church, Saint John's University
Group portrait, outdoors. Twenty-seven men stand on the steps of the Abbey Church. The men have removed their hats, and are holding them. A monk in habit is in the center of the front row; all others wear suits.

Black and white photograph, brown tone. Mounted on ivory-colored board with linen finish, beveled edges, and an embossed "frame" for the picture area. Gold foil sticker with interlocking letters ST J U at lower right. "X" in pencil below column of men left of center.
Written on back: "Simon Groetsch @ St. John's old Church / St. John's University," and, in another hand, "X =" and "(not alum)".
Some water damage to mounting board, and lower left corner of mounting board cracked. Upper left corner of sticker is worn off. Nicks in the emulsion at upper left and lower right, irregular area about 7/8 x 1/8 inch missing on lower right edge.
