Chemistry Room

3 5/8 x 4 3/4 inch black and white photo mounted on 5 1/2 x 6 1/2 inch pale olive mounting board with blind embossed floral ornamental border. Undated. Circa 1908.

In Quadrangle. Various flasks, beakers, and pieces of equipment arrayed on wooden countertop in front of wooden cabinets of various styles. Bottle in center, with a tube coming out, is labeled as sulfuric acid (H2SO4). Shelves hold mortar and pestle, ceramics, bottles, tins, glassware. Hood with exhaust pipe in corner. Signs on wall list chemicals.

In the Quadrangle. The Science Building/Engel Hall/Simons Hall had built-in cabinets with a more decorative finish to molding.
