First Tennis Court - 1890s
Two men in shirtsleeves stand with racquets on either side of a lawn tennis courtwith two nets. Numerous spectators line the edge of the court or stand under an awning. Some monks are clustered on the right, behind the court. Wooden rail fence in the background.
Black and white photograph, brown tone. Mounted on white cardstock.
Written beneath the photo: "1st Tennis Court".
Board is cracked and has 5 pin holes. Some bubbling under print.
Back of card stamped in an oval "The St. John's University Record. Collegeville, Minn."
