Group studio portrait of a monk in habit (Fr. Richard Simmer, OSB) and eleven boys in baseball uniform. The players are wearing log-sleeved turtleneck sweaters, dark short-sleeved shirts with a light-colored band around the end of the sleeve, padded knickers with belts, dark stockings, and ankle athletic shoes. They also wear a dark smock-like garment with buttons or snaps at the shoulder. A light-colored interlocking "St J U" logo is on the top outer garment. Baseball bats and a catcher's mask are arranged on the floor in front of the group. Many of the boys have a glove hanging from their belt loops.
