Students, circa 1910?, circa 1910?
Scope and Contents
Students, circa 1910?
Black and white photo of a large group of students and at least one monk, standing on an iron staircase at the northwest entrance to the Quadrangle. Most, but not all, of the students wear neckties and hats.
Mounted on gray board with two thin rules and an ornamental leaf border.
The Archives has another copy of this photo which says that it is at the north entrance to St. John's University before the Devil's Tower was built and, in another hand, suggests a date of circa 1895.
The iron staircase was installed in 1899. The Devil's Tower with its internal staircase was constructed in 1916.
This photograph has been digitized.
