On the top of this piece, Proulx has written, "S-253: The Song of Simeon [Nunc Dimittis]." Proulx identifies it as an "irregular psalm tone, plainsong with improvised 'halos.'" This is apparently a "re-work" of an earlier version. It is unclear if this is published.

Proulx writes on the bottom of the page, "(Out of print)" and provides a 2008 copyright. The two pages on the first leaf are all copies of an engravement with Proulx's altered copyright. The second leaf is a copy of a alternate ending manuscript by Proulx's hand.
