Proulx took Robert Revicki's piece entitled, "Alleluia" from "Songs of Praise," [(Boosey and Hawkes - 5597) written for unison chorus or equal voices, with tenor or soprano solo and tambourine accompaniment], changed the words to the text of the Gloria, added a second vocal part in the last nine measures, and added handbell and triangle accompaniment. On the top of this piece, Proulx has written, "S-253: The Song of Simeon [Nunc Dimittis]." Proulx identifies it as an "irregular psalm tone, plainsong with improvised 'halos.'" This is apparently a "re-work" of an earlier version. It is unclear if this is published.
