In 2003, there was discussion about a renewal of the relationship with the College of the Bahamas. On May 14, 2003, Provost Smorynski stated, "At this time we see the agreement as more of an expression of solidarity of educational purpose than a practical source of significant student or faculty interchange between our institutions in the immediate to mid-term time period."
