General Education Program, 1964-2005

The general education program has been given several different titles over the years: CSB General Education CSB Basic Studies Program, 1964-1965 to 1970 CSB Integrated Studies Program 1971-1972 to 1982 CSB/SJU Core Curriculum 1982 to ca 2006 New Core Curriculum (Task Force, 2000-2007 Since 1982 there were discussions between CSB and SJU to deal with the possible unification of the two general education programs. E.G., On November 4, 1982 a memo from the Core Curriculum Council announced scheduled department meetings "to begin gathering ideas and assessing needs in a common core curriculum."
