Scope and Contents

East Asian Interdisciplinary Studies for Majors and Minors, 2003-present The Asian Studies program and Asian Studies minor were established in 1995. Richard Bohr developed the program and exercised exemplary leadership for the first ten years. Joseph P. Rogers was named Coordinator of Asian Studies and will join Professor Bohr in the program as of August 1, 2005. This program is entering its 15th year and grows out of eight decades of Benedictine involvement in China and Japan and our emerging relationship with India as well as strong campus support for global citizenship, intercultural competence, and experiential education, now at the heart of the new core curriculum.
