[RESTRICTED] Academic Affairs Committee of the Board, 1972-1973 through 1983-1984 [During these years the CSB Academic Affairs Committee met separately and acted only in the capacity as an academic affairs committee. From 1984-1985 until October 11, 1991, the Academic Affairs Committee and the Student Affairs Committee were united as one committee. Then in 1993-1994, the Academic Affairs Committee of CSB and of SJU were united as a Joint Academic Committee. It also includes notes from a telephone conversation with our legal counsel Kevin Hughes in re this subject which states that there is no explicit contractual right to a faculty vote on this issue. Also the administration had consulted several faculty in EPC and FRRC. Included in these minutes is a copy of the Position Paper on the nature of faculty participation in curricular decision-making: New Programs, Reallocation/Retrenchment.
